"HBO's "True Blood" has a really, really bad habit of populating its plotlines with ridiculously hot guys...and then killing them off, just when their stories had begun to involve satisfyingly copious amounts of nudity. (R.I.P., Eggs. We'll forever mourn the loss of your perfectly-formed butt.) But of all the heartbreaking deaths of "True Blood" hotties, none has been more horrible than the sunny suicide of Godric in season 2—which not only cost us a really good-looking vampire, but also had the unacceptable side effect of making Eric Northman really, really sad. So it was with great excitement that we learned today that Allan Hyde, the pale and pretty actor who plays Godric, is coming back for an unspecified number of episodes during season 4, according to TVLine.
Producers won't confirm Godric's specific role in the next installment of the series—but since he appeared in both flashback and apparition form in season 3, we're guessing that Godric the Vampy Ghost or Godric the Hot, Historical Figure are who we'll get this time around. (Unless they've found a way to reverse the sun damage? Perhaps a retinol cream?) But given how many handsome men we've already seen leaving this series toes-up, it's nice to get one back.
Even if he is dead and not naked."
