I don't think anyone was suprised to see Debbie go back to using V with her struggling jealously of Alcide and Sookie's relationship. It was however surprising to see her on Sookie's doorstep with a bunch of flowers and not a weapon of some sort. For now she appears to be using her strength with the V to help Sookie out to impress Alcide. But how long will it last until she sees Alcide and Sookie too chummy for her liking? I doubt Debbie's good girl act will last much longer in the Season. Possibly to use the battle of the witches and fangs to her own benefit.
The entertaining aspect of the episode was seeing Jessica crying at Nan hoping for some sort of sympathy and perhaps a mother figure. She's now having to live with her maker since Hoyt kicked her and her Twilight books out of his house. Although Jason keeps trying to fight his attraction to his best friend's girlfriend. We all knew knowing that Jason thinks with a certain member that he would give into their lusty attractions in the back of his truck. Which will
come out eventually and cause a major rift between the two pals.
We finally got an end to the story of the ghost controlling LaFayette and so interested in Arlene's baby boy. I couldn't help but feel so sorry for her spirit when they showed the flashbacks to how she came to die with her child. Which was such a sad and dark tale of the racism and violence against a Mother and baby. Although the angelic effects were a bit corny. It was nice to see the connection of Jesus with trying to get LaFayette back and her soul put at rest to leave Arlene and Terry alone. Hopefully now Arlene will stop obessing over the fact that her child's biological Father was the serial killer Rene from Season 1.
The pack master of Shreveport attempted to bond with Alcide and it seemed to be going well. Until Alcide learned he wanted him in postion for an imitidation situation against Sam Merlotte for dating Luna. Luckily for us It turned out not to be Sam but his younger brother Tommy who came to meet Marcus and get a horrible beating. Tommy looked really bad by the end of it even when Alcide stepped in to pull all the other men off of him. Who knows if he will be able to survive his injuries and if the real Sam Merlotte will be in for a similar experience after his romantic get away with Luna and her daughter. Which I will say was very adorable when Sam shifted into a bunny so the little girl could pet and cuddle one that wouldn't squirm away.
In the end Antonia used her controlling ability of Eric to use him as a soldier against the vampire population by trying to have him gather more vulnerable vampires to attempt the assassination of Bill Compton and possibly Nan Flanagan at the press conference against vampire bigotry.
Let's hope that Sookie came in time from the warning from Tara's thoughts to prevent the murder of her ex-vamp boyfriend. As everything was left in a violent, busy mess because of the witches.
