Soooo I was messing around this evening and decided to open a CafePress Store for the Blog! It's not the fanciest thing in the world but I thought some of the products were super cute. I'll try to design different logos as time goes on. Hope you guys like it! HERE
HBO released another behind the scenes video, this time with little commentary from Allan Ball and the cast. Words can not describe how excited I am for this season. That little tiny bit showing Sookie catching Eric on the road dazed and confused pretty much made me go "yay!" out loud. Yes I know I'm a dork, but I have a TB Blog so we know this already. I'm really curious about what's going to happen between Jesus and LaFayette since the show has more creativity with the towns folk because their lives aren't featured much in the books aside from interaction with Sookie. But I have decided not to have my heart too set on them following Charlaine Harris' books exactly, so I wont be disappointed. So let's breathe this all in and enjoy. Aside from loving the sassy and alluring Pam, Kristin Bauer plays. One thing I have is a huge amount of respect and admiration for is her immense dedication to animal rights. If you follow her on twitter 98% of her tweets are all about helping the animals. So although I want to keep this blog primarily on True Blood, once in a while I want to help get the word out to help. And Monsters & Critics have written an article on Kristin's work to get one of earth amazing animals, the tiger out of having to be a side show amusement in Louisiana.
" True Blood star Kristin Bauer is sinking her teeth into a campaign to save a Siberian Bengal tiger being kept in a cage at a Louisiana truck stop. Tony the Tiger has been living for the past decade as a roadside attraction at the truck stop in Grosse Tete. He spends his days in a concrete cage, pacing up and down as truckers and tourists stop by to take a look. Kristin, who plays lethal vampire Pam in the hit show, has now joined forces with the non profit Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) to highlight the inhumane conditions they claim Tony is being kept in. The ALDF has even filed a lawsuit against the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for 'issuing an illegal permit' for Tony. Kristin, a long-time animal advocate, revealed: 'Tony has spent the last decade at the Tiger Truck Stop, where he is subjected to the stench of fuel and the deafening noise of diesel engines 24-hours a day. 'Instead of basking in the sun and hunting by night, Tony paces his cage - an indicator of extreme stress.' But Tony's owner Michael Sandlin claims on his website that it would be 'more cruel' to take Tony away to a wildlife preserve than leave him in the concrete cage where he is currently kept. Michael writes on his website: 'Tony, a tiger raised from infancy by hand, is the target of a misguided attempt to remove him from the people that raised him, love him, and take care of him daily. 'He has known no other life, and receives great food, and the best medical attention when needed. 'All of the tigers at Tiger Truck Stop were born in captivity, hand raised pets, that need and desire human affection.' It is our opinion that it would be just as cruel to take our tigers away from their known environment as it would be to capture a wild tiger and put it in a cage.' Sandlin has not responded to any emails or calls asking for a comment regarding Tony". SOURCE HBO has released another behind the scene, this time featuring our favourite redheaded waitress Arlene. Ok, so as we remember last Season Arlene tried to get rid of her baby with the help of Holly from Merlottes. But didn't succeed, so did all that spell work just change the baby? To something freaky? Or is Rene going to haunt her butt because he's the real Daddy? This sounds like some Rosemary's Baby stuff going on in Season 4, sounds freaky to me. source Well apparently actress Michelle Forbes would love to return. Even though I enjoy the actress, I really hope that never happens. The character had it's purpose for Season 2 but there is no need to bring Mary Ann back. I just want the show to keeping heading forward with new plots inspired by Charlaine Harris' books. Plus she did so much that no one would want to see her alive again. So everyone would just go back to wanting to kill her again anyways... (unless suddenly the town is cool with serial killers running around, then in that case bring back Rene!) I mean bringing back King Russell makes sense since he was never killed, just buried in cement and we all know that wouldn't last when it happened.
"Michelle Forbes has revealed that she would love to return to True Blood in the future. Forbes appeared in the show's second season as a Maenad called Maryann and told TV Line that the drama is "beautiful and insane and fun". "I just had the time of my life," she said. "I would carry a spear in the back of one of the scenes on that show. I love them all so much... I would take a bullet for [creator] Alan Ball." However, Forbes admitted that she does not know how Maryann could return to the series. "I do unfortunately think that Maryann's story was told and was told in full, and [since then they] have gone on to so many rich wonderful stories," she said. "I don't think there's any hope of [my popping back up]. I might have to twist Alan's arm, though, to throw me in the back of some scene for two minutes, just to go hang out with him again." SOURCE The site Styleite has scooped up the knowledge that HBO has teamed up with the line Hammitt to debut a line a handbags. However, be prepared that are pricey! Definitely not for the common viewer. But if you're lucky enough to have bunny to burn. Then hey, I would go for it!
"There is nothing you can say to us that will make us feel ashamed of our inextinguishable love for the HBO series True Blood. Nothing. Not a thing. Because unlike other vampire-focused television series, this one’s proving it has serious high-end fashion potential. (It’s also just a really good show, but that’s another post for another day.) Hammitt, a Los Angeles-based handbag company, has teamed up with the geniuses in HBO’s marketing department on a line of bags inspired by the show’s characters. At the bottom of the price range for this collection is the $395 Sookie, which WWDreports is made of pleated dove gray suede, and at the top is the “more flamboyant” $675 Lafayette, a metallic leather doctor bag stamped with an alligator skin pattern and covered in studs. And while there’s no mention of a Bill handbag (and really, what would that look like?), there are ones named after Eric and Alcide. (The Eric is pictured above.): While the evening-sized, black leather $445 “Eric” is perhaps the most wearable design with its shoulder strap and bullet-shaped studs (since Eric Northman’s known to have “taken bullets” for Sookie) — the most true-to-character bag is probably the $485 “Alcide.” The gray shoulder bag is based on the show’s resident good guy werewolf, which is conveyed via its fake fur flap and a life-size, screen-printed wolf image on the inside lining. Yeah. We’d advise you to start saving now — and to start looking for places where Hammitt is carried. Most of its clients are smaller boutiques, so you might have to search a bit if you want to find one of these bags. They’ll be in stores around the beginning of the fourth season. And at this point, we don’t know which launch we’re more excited about." SOURCE Yay, woke up this morning to find another teaser video HBO has uploaded. And apparently Pam is bringing out all the stops to fix poor Eric little mixed up mind. Personally, I can't wait to watch the new element of witches added to the show. As long as it is tasteful and not corny 'bippity boppity boo!' stuff. |
